At CCS, the individual and the counselor work together for solutions. Treatment is not something we “do to” anyone. Instead, we work alongside the people who come to us for help. We are convinced that we get better results when they are on board and taking responsibility for their choices. Therefore, our job has a lot to do with providing better options, and with helping them to accept their own part in their choices.
On average, Community Counseling opens more than 150 new cases each month. At any given time, we are actively treating approximately 1,000 people for various mental health and substance abuse issues. Over the course of a year, more than 2200 different residents of Crawford County will have obtained services from the agency. That is nearly 1 out of every 20 persons in our county.
For applicants who are in need of general mental health services, our agency can accept most of the available payment sources, and an individual payment plan will be established through Medicaid, private insurance, ADAMH funding, or self-pay. For their part, the Crawford-Marion ADAMH Board encourages the development of comprehensive, yet cost-effective, mental-health and substance abuse services in our area, and works to ensure that these services meet the highest standards of care.
